Dolly Parton's Sister Asks for an End to AI "Garbage" Circulating on Social Media

Expresso7 September 2026 at 18:41

Dolly Parton's sister, Stella Parton, made a public appeal to the singer's fans to stop sharing false AI-generated content on social media. Stella classified these contents as "garbage" and asked that they be deleted.

Dolly Parton died on August 25, at age 80. The death of the iconic country singer generated a large wave of online disinformation, with many false contents circulating on social media.

Dolly Parton's sister has been trying to combat the spread of these lies, using her own social media to ask followers not to share AI-generated material that does not correspond to reality.

This phenomenon is not exclusive to Dolly Parton, as public figures from around the world have been targets of deepfakes and manipulated content by artificial intelligence, especially after their deaths.

Writer Junior Rostirola presented, in São Paulo, the seventh volume of "Coffee with God the Father," a series of devotionals created by him, with the theme "Daily Portions of Restoration," gathering 365 messages about faith, family, new beginnings, and relationships. For him, setting aside a few minutes for this type of reading can create a break amid the excess of information and commitments.
