Portugal prepares to discover the New 7 Wonders of Portugal® at a National Grand Final that will take place on the 12th. Twenty-one heritage sites reach this final phase of the competition, which aims to elect the seven most emblematic locations in the country.

Among the candidates for victory, heritage sites from the Coimbra region stand out, continuing in the race for the title. The participation of monuments from this region demonstrates the rich heritage of central Portugal.

The New 7 Wonders of Portugal® competition aims to promote and enhance Portuguese historical and cultural heritage, giving visibility to places that are part of the country's identity. The selection of the seven winners will be made through national voting.

The marathon to define the sambas-enredo for Carnival 2027 continues at full speed in Rio de Janeiro. Paraíso do Tuiuti was the first school to release its samba, on July 31st, without holding a contest, commissioning the song from composers Claudio Russo, Gustavo Clarão and Luiz Antônio Simas. The school also marks the debut of veteran Renato Lage as a carnival designer, who will lead the theme for next year.
