Pianist Maria João Pires announced the creation of MJP Piano Academy, an online platform dedicated to piano teaching. The academy will be aimed at people from all over the world.
The project emerges with the objective of expanding the reach of piano teaching beyond physical borders, allowing interested parties from different countries to access the training of the renowned pianist.
In addition to the online component, the project includes a greater variety of "in-person experiences" in Belgais, which suggests a reinforcement of in-person activities at the center associated with the pianist.
The creation of this academy represents a significant expansion of Maria João Pires' pedagogical activity, which until now was primarily known for her in-person masterclasses and live concerts.
