Is the Portuguese economy really outperforming Europe?

The European economy showed signs of greater strength in the second quarter, according to new Eurostat data. Portugal stood out again above the European average, both in terms of economic growth and employment.

The new Eurostat figures are the central focus of this analysis, which seeks to assess whether the Portuguese economy is effectively outperforming the average performance of Europe.

The new episode of Expresso's "Economia dia a dia" podcast addresses these issues, hosted by Juliana Simões, and analyzes in detail the comparative data between Portugal and the rest of the European area.
