"It is a very important milestone". PAL-V receives European authorization to manufacture "flying cars"

The company PAL-PV received European authorization to manufacture the so-called "flying cars", which is described as "a very important milestone" in the development of this type of vehicle.

To drive these vehicles, it is necessary to have both a driver's license and a pilot's license, thus combining the requirements for land and air circulation.

According to the company, the vehicles can reach 160 kilometers per hour when driving on the road and 500 kilometers per hour when in the air.

Lampsy Health wins KPMG technological innovation competition in Portugal

The Portuguese startup Lampsy Health won the sixth edition of the Global Tech Innovator in Portugal, a competition organized by KPMG, with an artificial intelligence platform that uses a camera embedded in a lamp to monitor people with epilepsy and alert parents or caregivers in case of episodes. The company, founded by Vicente Garção, Leonor Pereira and Joana Pinto as a spin-off from the Instituto de Telecomunicações and Instituto Superior Técnico, will represent Portugal in the international final of the competition during the Web Summit in Lisbon, where it will compete with winners from over 20 countries. The victory grants Lampsy Health 12 months of support from KPMG Portugal in Advisory and tax consulting areas.
