Ricardo Pinheiro, President of the Commission for the Coordination and Regional Development of Alentejo, I.P., participated in the opening session of the V Manuel Ferreira Patrício Conference, which took place in Campo Maior.

The initiative was promoted by Coração Delta and brought together specialists, academics and institutional leaders to discuss topics related to the challenges of science, education and artificial intelligence.

This event marks the fifth edition of the conference dedicated to Manuel Ferreira Patrício, functioning as a space for reflection and discussion on current issues affecting these areas.

Lampsy Health wins KPMG technological innovation competition in Portugal

The Portuguese startup Lampsy Health won the sixth edition of the Global Tech Innovator in Portugal, a competition organized by KPMG, with an artificial intelligence platform that uses a camera embedded in a lamp to monitor people with epilepsy and alert parents or caregivers in case of episodes. The company, founded by Vicente Garção, Leonor Pereira and Joana Pinto as a spin-off from the Instituto de Telecomunicações and Instituto Superior Técnico, will represent Portugal in the international final of the competition during the Web Summit in Lisbon, where it will compete with winners from over 20 countries. The victory grants Lampsy Health 12 months of support from KPMG Portugal in Advisory and tax consulting areas.
