Prime Minister Luís Montenegro announced that the Government will meet with all parties with parliamentary seats at the end of September. These meetings aim to hear the positions of parties before the presentation of the State Budget proposal for 2027.
The Executive led by the PSD intends to gather the perspectives of parties on the budget priorities for the next year. This consultation process takes place within the framework of preparing the document that will be submitted to the Assembly of the Republic.
Meetings with political parties constitute a customary practice of the Executive before the drafting of each State Budget. In this way, the Government seeks to ensure that the proposal reflects, as much as possible, the possible consensus among the political forces represented in Parliament.
