The Socialist Party (PS) decided how it will vote on the motion of censure against the Government, opting for a vote against or abstention. This decision comes on the eve of the vote on the motion, whose rejection is already guaranteed due to the Democratic Alliance's (AD) majority in parliament.

André Ventura, leader of Chega, was present on the eve of this crucial vote. The Chega party maintains dialogue with the executive led by the AD, signaling that it intends to continue collaborating with the Government on areas it considers fundamental.

The rejection of the motion of censure is assured, as the AD has an absolute majority in the Portuguese parliament. This motion of censure represents an opposition initiative against the executive, but it is not expected to succeed given the balance of forces in the Assembly of the Republic.
