The PS de Ílhavo local committee defended today that Maria Eugénia Pinheiro should resign from the position of vice-mayor of the municipal council of Ílhavo, currently governed by a coalition PSD/CDS-PP. The party's position comes after the vice-mayor started exercising her mandate on a part-time basis. PS de Ílhavo considers that this change in the work arrangement is incompatible with the responsibilities inherent to the position of vice-mayor of the council. This position was expressed by the local committee following the change in Maria Eugénia Pinheiro's work arrangement.
