More than 30 people were injured in municipalities in Minas Gerais during this weekend due to strong winds and storms. The most serious situation occurred in Sete Lagoas, in the central region of the state, where 25 people needed medical attention after two consecutive occurrences of structure collapses.
On Sunday (6), 13 people were injured after part of a structure set up for shows at Exposete 2026 fell. According to the Fire Department, at least three poles with signs could not withstand the heavy rain and a gust. The victims were rescued by the Fire Department, SAMU, and the event's ambulance, and none of them presented serious conditions.
The Civil Police forensics team was called and went to the Exhibition Park to investigate the case. The incident occurred less than 24 hours after another collapse on Saturday (5), when another 12 people had already been injured. The structure that gave way was on the right side of the stage and provided access to the restrooms of one of the VIP boxes.
