This is a problem that affects thousands of women in Portugal, and the majority suffer in silence without seeking professional help. More than six in ten Portuguese women experience problems related to their sexual life, which represents a significant proportion of the female population of the country. However, despite the high prevalence of these issues, most affected women do not seek medical or therapeutic support to address these difficulties. This reality highlights an important gap in female sexual health care in Portugal, where taboo and silence continue to prevent many women from obtaining the treatment and support they need.
