The harpist Helena Madeira performs on September 19, at 9:30 PM, at Velho Cavalinho – Taberna Medieval, in Castro Marim, with the concert "Medieval Echoes – Music of the Three Cultures on the Harp". The show proposes a musical journey through the cultural heritage of the Iberian Peninsula, evoking the encounter between Christian, Arab, and Jewish traditions through the sound of the harp.
The repertoire seeks to recover melodies associated with the different communities that, throughout history, coexisted in the Iberian Peninsula, transporting the audience to environments linked to courts, markets, and spaces of prayer. The organization states that the concert celebrates the historical encounter between these three cultures, reviving melodies that echoed in these spaces.
The proposal is based on an intimate approach, through which music seeks to establish bridges between different traditions and cultural memories. Through a mystical sound, the audience is invited to listen to the dialogue between ancient traditions, where each shared note represents art breaking down borders.
The concert takes place at Velho Cavalinho – Taberna Medieval, located on Rua do Viriato, in Castro Marim. Information and reservations can be made through the contact number 961 786 650.
