First year students in Miranda do Douro will have a Mirandese textbook

First year students in Miranda do Douro will now have a Mirandese textbook available for their school year.

Mirandese, a regional language spoken in the northeastern Trás-os-Montes region, was officially recognized 27 years ago.

The creation of this textbook comes within the effort to value and preserve this Minho language that, despite official recognition, continues to face challenges in its transmission to new generations.
