Leiria approves vote of condolence for victims in Cape Verde

The Municipal Chamber of Leiria approved a vote of condolence for the victims of an accident in Cape Verde. The initiative was subscribed by the mayor and by councilors from the PSD and Chega parties.

The municipality expressed its sorrow for the "tragic accident" and joined in the mourning of the municipality of São Filipe, on the island of Fogo, which was directly affected.

The vote of condolence also remembers the existing cooperation ties between the two cities, reinforcing the connection between Leiria and São Filipe.
