Parliament approved the holding of a debate and vote on a censure motion from the Chega party against the PSD/CDS-PP Government, which will take place this Tuesday.
The censure motion targets the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, whose continuity in office has been contested by the Chega party.
The controversy surrounding Luís Neves relates to issues involving his name during the period when he was director of the Judicial Police, generating numerous objections from the party that presented the motion.
The plenary debate will allow Chega to defend its position against the minister remaining in office, with Members of Parliament set to pronounce themselves on the censure motion during the next parliamentary session.
