Approved by plenary to debate and vote on Chega motion this Tuesday

SIC Notícias7 September 2026 at 15:08

The Chega party saw its motion of censure against the PSD/CDS-PP Government approved by parliament for discussion next Tuesday. The far-right party decided to present this motion against the executive led by PSD and CDS-PP.

The motion arises motivated by the continuity in office of the Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves. The party considers the minister's remaining in the post unacceptable due to the controversies surrounding his name.

The controversies are related to the period when Luís Neves served as director of the Judicial Police. During that tenure, situations occurred that Chega considers worthy of censure and that justify the presentation of this motion of censure against the Government.
