Bernardo Trindade's candidacy for the presidency of the Tourism Confederation of Portugal (CTP) has the support of 60% of the electoral universe, according to the Portuguese Hotel Association (AHP), the entity presided over by the candidate himself. The support base covers all Tourism subsectors and the entire national territory, including the autonomous regions.
Among the associations supporting the candidacy are APHORT, AHETA, ARHCESMO, ADHP, ARAC, APC, CNIG and APR, as well as regional entities such as ACIF-CCIM, ACISO, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angra do Heroísmo, and the tourism promotion entities of Lisbon, Porto and Norte and Algarve.
On the business side, the main supporting hotel groups include Pestana Hotel Group, Vila Galé Hotels, Sana Hotels, Hoti Hotéis, Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon, Altis Hotels, Savoy Signature, NH Hotels, Grupo Solverde, among others. Also ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, SATA, Ibersol, DouroAzul, Estoril Sol and Lisbon Cruise Port have expressed support.
In addition to Bernardo Trindade, who presented his candidacy in May, Pedro Costa Ferreira, president of APAVT, has also advanced a candidacy for CTP leadership for the 2027-2030 term. The list for the governing bodies and the program of Trindade's candidacy will be presented at a later stage.
