ASAE – Food and Economic Safety Authority will reinforce its staff with 21 new inspectors. This reinforcement comes following a particularly intense period of activity for the entity, which registered 643 criminal proceedings during an eight-month period.
The minister of Economy considered that this reinforcement of 21 inspectors is, for now, "reasonable and adequate" to the work developed by ASAE. The government official's declaration comes in the context of the presentation of this personnel reinforcement.
The entity responsible for food and economic safety has been facing a significant workload, with the high number of criminal proceedings justifying the need to increase the available human resources to ensure its surveillance and investigation functions.
With the entry of these 21 new inspectors, ASAE intends to respond to the challenges posed by the high criminal activity identified in recent months, strengthening its operational capabilities on the ground.
