The Intermunicipal Community (CIM) Viseu Dão Lafões is preparing the project for the future installation of an Intermunicipal Civil Protection Centre. This initiative represents another step in the organization and coordination of civil protection services in the region.
The future Centre should integrate, among other functions, an alternative National Emergency and Civil Protection Command. This function aims to ensure the continuity of emergency operations in crisis situations that affect central structures.
The project preparation was discussed at a working meeting held recently. During this encounter, the main guiding principles for the design and implementation of the Intermunicipal Civil Protection Centre were addressed.
