Portugal recorded the third biggest increase in the employment rate in the European Union. This data places the country among the Member States with the best performance in job creation in the period analyzed.
Malta led the increases with 4.4%, followed by Spain with 2.3% and Portugal with 2.2%. These three countries were the ones that recorded the biggest increases in the employment rate among the EU Member States.
In the opposite direction, Romania, Finland and Bulgaria were the countries that showed the most significant decreases in the employment rate.
