The ASAE – Food and Economic Safety Authority is going to reinforce its staff with 21 new inspectors. This reinforcement comes in a context where the entity recorded 643 criminal proceedings in just eight months, revealing a significant increase in criminal activity in the authority's area of operation.
Manuel Castro Almeida stated that this reinforcement is part of the commitment made by the Government to strengthen ASAE's action. The objective is to provide the entity with more human and logistical means, as well as ensure greater technological training and intervention at the infrastructure level.
With this personnel reinforcement, the aim is to increase the capacity for inspection and combating the identified crimes, responding to the intensity of illegal activity detected in recent months. The measure reflects the executive's intention to prioritize the strengthening of food and economic safety mechanisms in the country.
