A man was arrested by the Judicial Police on suspicion of defrauding elderly people in the Setúbal district. The suspect used eloquent and persuasive speech to approach victims, quickly gaining their trust.

The victims, all elderly, voluntarily accompanied the suspect to an ATM, where they allowed him to make withdrawals of 200 euros. The method used was based on manipulation through speech, without the use of violence or physical coercion.

Authorities identified several victims of this fraud scheme in the Setúbal district. The man was arrested as part of an investigation to determine the extent of the crimes committed.
