A legionella hotspot was detected last week at the Municipal Stadium of Sobrado, in the municipality of Valongo. CD Sobrado published a statement informing about the situation, stating that the locker rooms where the detection occurred were off-limits. Valongo City Council subsequently confirmed that the hotspot was confined to the referees' locker room and the women's locker room, having adapted the available facilities to allow the continuity of sports practice without the need to cancel activities.
The municipality, in conjunction with health authorities and the club, is adopting the measures предусмотренные for this type of scenario, aiming to restore the operation of the affected spaces as soon as possible.
Armindo Ramalho, a member of the Parish Council of Ermesinde and member of the Municipal Security Council of Valongo Municipality, reported on his social media the existence of another legionella hotspot at the Pavilion of the D. António Ferreira Gomes School, in Ermesinde. This situation reportedly prevented the normal training of UD Bela.
Valongo City Council is already monitoring this second situation, according to what could be verified.
