The PSPV-PSOE warned that studying a degree in Castelló could cost families up to 4,000 euros for just a student room during a course, coinciding with the start of classes at the Universitat Jaume I. The political party reported that rental prices have risen again by almost 10% in the last year, worsening the economic situation of many students.
In addition to the cost of rooms, families will have to face other significant expenses, such as tuition fees, food, books and transport. These accumulated expenses make it even more difficult for many young people to study away from home.
The situation particularly affects students at the Universitat Jaume I, who started their classes during this period. The PSPV-PSOE uses this moment to alert about the economic impact that access to higher education represents for families in Castelló.
