Favaios celebrates the 10th edition of the festival paying homage to Moscatel de Favaios, which takes place from September 11 to 13. The event includes performances by Paulo Gonzo on the 11th and Delfins on the 12th, street entertainment, food and drink stalls, and the presentation of the book "De Agricultura & Glossário de Remédios e Agricultura" by Anabela Leal Barros, on the 13th at 3:30 PM, at Adega de Favaios. The festival closes on Sunday with the Baile das Vindimas (Harvest Ball) and a social lunch, including various entertainment, with parades and performances of folk groups.

The highlight of the festival takes place on Saturday night, the 12th, with the largest toast in the Douro with Moscatel de Favaios, expecting the gathering of more than 2500 people around this fortified wine, in a symbolic moment of sharing and celebration of local identity.

The festival is organized by Adega de Favaios, the Favaios Parish Council and the Alijó Municipal Council. Founded in 1952, Adega de Favaios was born from the persistence of its winegrowers in defending Moscatel de Favaios, a fortified wine that uses only the Moscatel Galego Branco grape variety, with unique expression conditions on the Favaios plateau.

Adega de Favaios is the main producer in the Demarcated Douro Region, with 80% of the production, and the leader in the national market for the fortified wine Moscatel do Douro. The Adega also produces DOC Douro wines, sparkling wines and Port Wine, offering enotourism services with wine tastings, guided tours and gastronomy.
