The Intermunicipal Community of Viseu Dão Lafões is preparing the construction of the Intermunicipal Civil Protection Center. The complex will be built in the region and aims to strengthen emergency response capabilities in the intermunicipal territory.
The Center will house various functions related to civil protection. Among the planned functions, the alternative National Emergency and Civil Protection Command stands out, which can operate autonomously in crisis situations.
This project arises in the context of strengthening the civil protection structure at regional and national level. The creation of an alternative command ensures the continuity of operations even in emergency situations that affect the main facilities.
