The Socialist PSPV demands more speed from Carrasco regarding cleaning and maintenance deficiencies in Castelló's neighborhoods

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General7 September 2026 at 12:00

The Socialist Municipal Group of Castelló criticized this Monday the management of president Begoña Carrasco, accusing her government of neglecting the daily maintenance of the city. The party's deputy spokesperson, José Luis López, pointed out persistent deficiencies in cleaning and maintenance in various points of the municipality.

López considered that the municipal council's response to the needs of the neighborhoods has been too slow and ineffective. The socialist argued that it is necessary to implement a "much faster and effective" strategy to solve the pending problems that affect the citizens of Castelló.

The complaint comes at a time when several areas of the city continue to present deficiencies in urban cleaning and conservation, problems that, according to PSPV, are not being addressed with the urgency required by Begoña Carrasco's executive.
