Water adventure descends the Sado river along 25 kilometres
Kayaks, stand up paddle boards and two Hawaiian outrigger canoes (va'a) took part in the Descida do Rio Sado, which combined physical activity with leisure, giving participants the opportunity to discover, via the waterway, areas of the natural heritage of the Sado Estuary and the industrial peninsula of Mitrena.
The event was promoted by the Setúbal Municipal Council with the support of the Setúbal Canoeing Club, which ensured the accompaniment of support vessels throughout the entire route.
The course provided three stops for rest, food and socializing in the areas of Eurominas, Mitrena and Vila Maria, allowing participants to enjoy the landscape and the natural heritage of the region.
