Goldenergy wants to support 100 youth football clubs. Cândido Costa is the face of the initiative

Eco7 September 2026 at 17:55

Goldenergy, an electricity retail brand, has launched the Green Team programme, which aims to support up to 100 football clubs in the youth categories in mainland Portugal. The initiative is especially focused on small local clubs and is open to any club, association or team, offering official brand equipment and access to challenges with additional prizes throughout the season.

The programme features the participation of Cândido Costa, former footballer, commentator and television presenter, as the Green Team ambassador. The former player will be involved in promotional activities on social media and on Rádio Comercial, as well as visiting some of the clubs participating in the programme.

Applications can be made by any Goldenergy customer with a connection to the club, whether as a coach, staff member or parent of the athletes. Registration is free and all clubs that meet the eligibility criteria defined in the regulations, specifically confirming that they are an amateur team, receive the official equipment.
