The Eurozone economy grew 1.2% in the second quarter of 2026, year-on-year, while that of the European Union rose 1.4%. These data were released by Eurostat and represent an upward revision from the values presented in the first two estimates, which indicated growth of 1% and 1.2% respectively.
In the chain comparison, the GDP of the single currency area advanced 0.6%, instead of the 0.4% initially estimated. The community bloc rose 0.7%, compared to the previous forecast of 0.5%.
The estimates were revised upward for both the Eurozone and the European Union as a whole, relative to the data previously published on July 30 and August 14. The news is being updated.
