The Chamber of Commerce of the Beiras Region (CCRB) holds the fourth edition of the "Economic Forum of Beiras" on September 12th at Grande Hotel de Luso in Mealhada. The event runs from 08:30 to 19:00 and this year focuses on "Economic Diplomacy, Capital and Innovation: The Centro Territory on Global Investment Routes". The forum aims to serve as a linking platform between companies, political decision-makers, financial institutions, public bodies and international structures, focusing on attracting investment, access to financing and internationalization of the regional economy.
The 2026 edition marks a new stage in the forum's journey, which previously dedicated meetings to regional development opportunities, renewable energies and digital transition. CCRB frames the "IV Forum" as a catalyst for bank financing, investment and international alliances. Ana Correia, president of CCRB, states that the goal is to transform contacts into partnerships, knowledge into innovation and international relations into concrete opportunities for businesses and the territory.
The program is structured around four thematic axes: capital and resilience, banking and financing, economic diplomacy and innovation, and artificial intelligence and capacity building of companies for internationalization through advanced technologies. Among the planned panels, sessions stand out on resilience and ESG capital attraction, business financing, economic diplomacy with international markets, and innovation and artificial intelligence in export capacity building. The signing of a cooperation protocol between CCRB and IAPMEI is also planned.
The event is organized by CCRB with institutional support from the Municipality of Mealhada, Tourism of Central Portugal and Grande Hotel de Luso. Participation, including lunch, costs 60 euros for CCRB members and 88 euros for the general public, with registrations open until September 10th.
