The kiosks located on Standard Street, in Coimbra, are to be transformed into support points for public transport passengers. Coimbra Municipal Council will submit today to the municipal executive meeting a public tender for the exploitation of these spaces.
The project envisages that the two existing spaces will be operated as a cafeteria, also functioning as a waiting room for users. Additionally, sanitary facilities will be made available for those waiting for buses.
This initiative comes within the scope of the requalification of the surrounding area of Standard Street, aiming to improve the conditions offered to passengers who use public transport in the city. The tender will define the commercial exploitation conditions for these public spaces.
