Around 30 people arrived by boat on Sesimbra beach during the early hours of this Sunday and managed to escape the authorities before being intercepted. The alert was given by a fisherman who spotted the vessel approaching the coast.
The authorities immediately launched search operations, both at sea and on land, to locate the individuals who managed to flee. The searches continue in an attempt to identify and find the people who landed on the beach.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, with the arrival of the vessel at a beach in the Sesimbra area. The speed with which the approximately 30 occupants managed to disperse hindered the security forces' action at the scene.
