Drivers protested this Monday on the Pragal Bridge, in Lisbon, in the vicinity of the 25 de Abril Bridge, against the constant rise in fuel prices. The protest participants shouted phrases such as "Montenegro declared war on a dignified life," criticizing the absence of government measures to stop the worsening of costs.
The protest took place precisely on the day when another significant increase in fuel prices was recorded. Gasoline rose 9 cents per liter and diesel increased 12 cents per liter, further worsening the financial situation of drivers and transport workers.
The blockade on the Pragal Bridge caused traffic disruptions in the surrounding area, affecting circulation between the north and south banks of the Tagus. The demonstrators demanded that the government implement mechanisms to limit the escalation of fuel prices.
