The rain did not intimidate the rockers present on the third day of Rock in Rio. On the Supernova stage, Matanza Ritual and João Gordo, singer of Ratos de Porão, took the stage to defend rock in bad weather. The Global Village, an area that houses the Supernova, Favela, and Global Village stages, was flooded and already being called the "Rock Flag Square" by participants.
João Gordo, known for his straightforward style, commented on the adverse weather conditions: "It's cold, it's raining, it's crappy." Even so, he added that it was cool. The audience, made up of brave rockers, danced to songs like "Havana affair" and "Beat on the brat," covers of the Ramones in psychobilly versions.
The show also featured the participation of the Asteróides Trio, a rockabilly trio from São Paulo, who paid tribute to the Ramones together with João Gordo. The show took place in the Rock City area, where established funk refrains also echoed, such as "Vou passar cerol na mão," creating a diverse environment even during the night dedicated to rock.
