Portuguese authorities, including the GNR and Maritime Police, were activated for an operation in Sesimbra after an alert about a possible landing of migrants on a beach in the region.
The alert reported the presence of about 30 migrants who could be trying to reach the Portuguese coast.
The security forces went to the indicated location to verify the situation and prevent any landing.
However, after the authorities' intervention, the alert was ultimately not confirmed, with no actual landing of migrants recorded in Sesimbra.
