The new parking lot in Aveiras de Cima is now completed and open for use. The space is located on Travessa da Fonte Santa, with access to Rua António Amaro dos Santos, and provides 73 parking spaces for light vehicles, on a total area of approximately 2,950 square meters. The intervention aims to contribute to improving mobility conditions, traffic organization, and parking in the town center.
The work carried out included terrain modeling, construction of a rainwater drainage system, and bituminous paving. The consolidation of the existing slope on the southern limit of the land was also carried out, through the construction of a small retaining wall, which reinforces the stability and integration of the work in the surrounding space.
For the completion of the project, the parking space lines were marked on the pavement and vertical and horizontal signage was applied, ensuring adequate safety and comfort conditions for users.
The municipal investment amounted to approximately 157 thousand euros, representing a reinforcement of the municipality of Azambuja's commitment to enhancing public space and improving accessibility in the parish of Aveiras de Cima.
