SC Beira-Mar travelled to Cinfães this Sunday for the third round of the Campeonato de Portugal and drew 2-2 with CD Cinfães, a result that represents the second consecutive draw for the Aveiro side, who still haven't managed to win this season. Compared to the previous game, in which the aurinegros lost at home to Machico 2-0, Beira-Mar made four changes to the starting eleven, bringing in David Oliveira, João Sá, Gustavo Almeida and Jorge Silva. Forwards Julián Perez and Ibranhima, signed in recent days, made their debut in the squad as substitutes.

The game started favourably for the home side, who opened the scoring at four minutes through Serhii, a header from a corner. Beira-Mar managed to equalise at 27 minutes with a goal by David Oliveira, who headed in effectively after a cross from Gustavo, thus scoring his first goal in the championship. Still before half-time, at 34 minutes, Ruben Ribeiro put Cinfães ahead again with a snap shot, after a cross.

The second half was marked by greater balance. Beira-Mar equalised in the 73rd minute through a penalty converted by Didi, after a foul on Igor Santos. In the final minutes, both teams sought the winning goal without success. After the final whistle, confrontations occurred between elements of the two teams, leading the referee to show red cards to Serhii and Tiago Melo, who will be unavailable for the next games.

In other news from Series 2 of the Campeonato de Portugal, Ovarense beat Sousense 2-0 and claimed their third consecutive victory. União de Lamas defeated Guarda FC 1-0, achieving their first win after a defeat and a draw. Sanjoanense also secured their first win by thrashing Alpendurada 3-1, while Florgrade lost their away trip to Camacha 1-0.
