If elected, Flavio Bolsonaro may govern with a Supreme Court led by two ministers appointed by his father, Jair Bolsonaro. The information relates to the succession in the presidency of the STF, which follows a rotation system among the ministers.
Edson Fachin is in the second half of his two-year term as president of the Supreme Court. In September 2027, he will have to pass the position to the most senior minister who has not yet held it. By the current rotation order, it would be Alexandre de Moraes's turn.
Should Alexandre de Moraes no longer be on the Court, Minister Kassio Nunes Marques assumes the position, with André Mendonça as his successor. Both ministers were appointed by Jair Bolsonaro, which would mean the new government would coexist with an STF led by people chosen by Flavio Bolsonaro's father.
In a separate note, the Liberal Party tries to hide Claudio Castro in Rio de Janeiro, in a situation described as "living dead."
