Kindergartens that signed association contracts with the Ministry of Education are denouncing the lack of communication from the Government. These educational establishments assure that they are not receiving any information about the continuity of the mechanism for the next school year, fueling fears that the contracts may not be renewed.
This association contract mechanism was launched approximately a year ago to address the shortage of spots in preschool education. Through these agreements, the State entered into partnerships with private establishments to guarantee places for children of preschool age.
The establishments involved in this complaint are kindergartens operating under these association contracts. Their complaints focus on the lack of responses from the Ministry of Education regarding the future of these agreements.
Beyond the uncertainty about the renewal of contracts, the affected kindergartens state that they have not yet received the last payment tranche for the 2025/2026 school year, which worsens the financial situation of these institutions.
