This summer was marked by extreme weather conditions, with July being classified as the hottest month both at sea and in mainland Spain.

Aemet, responsible for monitoring and recording these temperatures, confirmed that this Mediterranean heat episode represents a historic milestone in the data series dating back to 1940.
