The last day of the Fair of Monte 2026, which takes place on Sunday, September 6, is entirely dedicated to traditional sounds and fado. The closing show features the performance of Ana Moura and the project "O Acordeão Fadista".

The event takes place at the Fair and Exhibition Park of Santiago do Cacém, closing this year's edition of the fair.

Ana Moura is one of the most recognized voices of contemporary fado, having gained international relevance for her way of reinterpreting traditional Portuguese music.

The programming of the fair's last day thus privileges musical styles of traditional roots, offering the audience an experience dedicated to classical Portuguese music and fado.

Mangueira and Mocidade define their samba-enredos for 2027 Carnival; listen

Two more samba schools from Rio de Janeiro's Special Group, Mangueira and Mocidade Independente, defined their samba-enredos for the 2027 Carnival during musical competitions at their rehearsal halls. Mocidade presented a samba paying homage to Latin America, with Majur participating in the final. The previous day, Portela had already chosen its samba paying homage to Monarco.

Macaé hosts 15th Culture and Gastronomy Festival

Macaé hosts the 15th edition of the Culture and Gastronomy Festival at the Praia dos Cavaleiros waterfront, from Wednesday (9) to Sunday (13).
