Macaé hosts the 15th edition of the Culture and Gastronomy Festival, which takes place at the Praia dos Cavaleiros waterfront from Wednesday (9) until Sunday (13). The event will feature five days of programming, including show-classes, tastings, and stalls spread across five blocks, with free admission.
The expectation is to receive 7,000 people per day, bringing movement to the city with dishes ranging from R$25 to R$49. This year's concept is "Terroir," which seeks to translate local culture and history into dishes, valuing native ingredients from the region.
Over 20 chefs, researchers, baristas, sommeliers, and specialists in pastry and mixology have been invited to showcase Macaé's cuisine. The lecture program opens with Cristiana Beltrão, known for her work at the Bazzar restaurant in Rio de Janeiro.
The festival also features "Show Kitchen," which offers practical classes, workshops, and tastings open to the public. The event seeks to strengthen the city's gastronomic identity while promoting local culture.
