Starting Monday, fuel prices will see a sharp increase in Portugal. Diesel will become more expensive by ten and a half cents per litre, while petrol rises by eight and a half cents.
The Government intervened by making changes to tax rates in order to soften the initial forecast increases. This intervention managed to ease the price per litre by approximately three cents, thus moderating the impact of the increase on consumers.
