The fire that broke out in Serra D'Ossa, in the municipality of Redondo, is in the resolution phase, but the aftermath continues this Sunday. Authorities are working on the ground to consolidate the fight against the flames.
Access limitations and the orography of Serra D'Ossa are making the firefighting operations more difficult. The mountainous terrain is forcing teams to work on foot in some areas of the perimeter affected by the fire.
The sub-regional commander of Emergency and Civil Protection of Central Alentejo, Fábio Pontes, revealed that the situation is being managed in a controlled manner, but that the terrain conditions require differentiated efforts in the various affected areas.
