Four men were arrested this Sunday (6) in Duque de Caxias, in Baixada Fluminense, suspected of being part of a gang responsible for at least 20 luxury vehicle thefts in the region. The arrest was carried out by officers from the 59th Police Station (Duque de Caxias), with support from the Military Police, at the intersection of Rua Orlando Teixeira and Avenida Brigadeiro Lima e Silva.

According to the Civil Police, part of the stolen cars was destined for Comando Vermelho and taken to communities dominated by the faction in different regions of the state of Rio de Janeiro.

The investigators reached the suspects after cross-referencing information with the municipal monitoring system and identifying the vehicle used by the group to carry out the crimes. During the approach, materials were seized that, according to the police, were used in the criminal actions, such as screwdrivers and an unspecified device.
