The Maritime Police is investigating a reported landing that allegedly occurred in Sesimbra. The alert was given by a citizen who heard reports that 20 or 30 people had landed in a boat.
Authorities went to the scene and managed to locate the boat and some belongings left behind. However, no people were found at the scene.
Searches are underway both by land and sea, in an effort to locate the individuals who allegedly carried out the landing. The investigation remains under the jurisdiction of the Maritime Police.
