A 63-year-old woman was killed with a bladed weapon on Sunday morning in Póvoa da Galega, parish of Milharado, in the municipality of Mafra. The suspected perpetrator of the crime is the victim's grandson, a 24-year-old man who has already been detained by authorities.
The initial alert was received by the GNR, who went to the scene and activated the Judicial Police, responsible for investigating homicide crimes. The Malveira Firefighters were also on the ground, supported by two vehicles.
The PJ took over the investigation and is gathering elements to determine the circumstances of the crime and the possible motivation of the perpetrator. The case was reported by Correio da Manhã.
