Petanca fundraiser for Rebordosa Firefighters

Jornal 3606 September 2026 at 12:05

Parque do Rio Ferreira, in Rebordosa, received on Saturday the XII Petanca Tournament, an initiative that combined sports competition with solidarity. The event was organized by the Petanca Club of Rebordosa and took place in duplete format.

The tournament's proceeds went to the Volunteer Firefighters of Rebordosa, thus supporting an institution that plays a fundamental role in the local community. The initiative managed to combine the practice of the sports modality with support for a solidarity cause.

The tournament was attended by local political figures, namely the president of the Municipal Assembly, Elias Barros, and the vice-president of the Municipal Council, Francisco Leal, who were present at the event.

The photos of the tournament were made available by the Municipality of Paredes, which documented this year's edition of the solidarity competition.
