ADEL Mobilizes 1.5 Million Euros in Investments with 2026 Subsidies

Notícias Portugal6 September 2026 at 12:03

ADEL Sierra Norte mobilized around 1.5 million euros in investments for the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara region, with 821 thousand euros allocated to 32 initiatives aimed at strengthening the local business fabric. Seventy-four applications were received across the three available support lines, which include non-agri-food rural enterprises, agri-food industries, and entrepreneurship projects.

For the rural enterprise support line, projects totaling a global investment of 1,215,000 euros were submitted, with 587,000 euros in aid, focusing on diversifying the rural economy through construction of infrastructure, acquisition of machinery, and professional services. For agri-food industries, four applications were registered totaling 126,000 euros in investment and 45,000 euros in aid.

The entrepreneurship call supported seven new projects with 27,000 euros each, totaling 189,000 euros in aid, with the aim of creating rural enterprises and economically recovering municipalities affected by depopulation. Each beneficiary project must generate at least one job and the promoter must be registered in the corresponding locality.

The president of ADEL Sierra Norte, María Jesús Merino, underscored the importance of these aids, which bring employment opportunities and stability to the region. The strategy is aligned with the LEADER Programme of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027, in an effort to diversify the rural economy and face the demographic challenge of the region.
